Don't let technology rob you of the fruits of doing things the hard way (USA Today) I used to be a good speller. No longer, thanks to inline spell check in Word and Firefox, which give me the convenient red squiggly line if I make a mistake. Instead of thinking about a word, I type in my best guess and let the computer correct me. I can do a lot of math in my head, and I try to keep those neurons exercised by not jumping straight to the calculator.
